Comfort Measures for Childbirth

It's natural to feel anxious about labor. We're here to help! Whether you are planning on having a non- medicated birth or an epidural, practicing these techniques can help you prepare for the big day and calm your nerves. This class focuses on comfort measures, breathing techniques, and relaxation methods used as birth options during the labor and birth process. It is highly recommended that couples take a Childbirth Preparation Class prior to taking Comfort Measures, as the class does not cover topics such as stages of labor, epidurals or other typical hospital protocols.

This Class is Recommended for:

  • first-time couples and those who have previously given birth who have completed a Childbirth Preparation Class.
  • first time couples and those who have previously given birth who are currently enrolled in a Childbirth Preparation Class.
  • those who have previously given birth, but have not taken a Childbirth Preparation Class (taking a Childbirth Preparation Class is still encouraged, but not required).
The classes are only held in-person. BY REGISTERING FOR THIS IN-PERSON CLASS, YOU ARE AGREEING TO WEARING A SURGICAL GRADE MASK (AVAILABLE UPON ENTRY) AND FOLLOWING SOCIAL DISTANCING RULES OUTLINED BY THE HOSPITAL.
