Jean is a licensed clinical Social Worker who has provided Mental Health Counseling for Dean/SSM for 26 years. She works with individual adults and families to help them with life challenges and transitions related to relationship and work issues, divorce, grief and loss, health challenges, adjustment issues, healing from anxiety, depression, mood issues, and the effects of trauma from dysfunctional families and or abuse. She helps patients with stress management and being their best.

She works with clients in a collaborative and respectful way to help them understand and see life patterns that get in their way. She believes curiosity and compassion are important to heal and grow.

Jean has a long history of expertise with treating eating disorders, along with body image and self-esteem issues. She works collaboratively with the SSM/Dean Weight Management Program assisting clients to improve their health, and to understand the behaviors in order to promote a healthier body and mind. Jean uses solution focused, cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, family systems, supportive, insight oriented and mindfulness approaches in her work as well as other evidence based treatment approaches.

Jean has a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from UW Whitewater and a Masters in Clinical Social Work from UW Milwaukee. She has done Mindfulness Training from the UW Integrated Medicine Program as well as a wide range of other training and experience.
