SSM Health Behavioral Health is a hospital-based outpatient service of SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Jefferson City. We provide brief treatment programs as well as transitional outpatient programs.
Brief treatment is an outpatient program for adults 18 and older experiencing stress, anxiety, grief and loss, and/or symptoms of depression or bipolar disorder, and who need short-term support or therapy. The program offers group therapy, a nursing assessment and consultation with a psychiatrist, along with medication management as needed. The program schedule is decided by you and your therapist, with sessions offered five days per week.
Our outpatient transitional care program provides care to adults and seniors experiencing serious and persistent mental health needs, including psychosis, anxiety disorder, depression, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. The program offers group and individual therapy and is designed to enhance physical, mental, cognitive and social well-being.
