Michelle Piole, MSN, APRN, CPNP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri – Columbia and her Master of Science in Nursing from Saint Louis University.

Michelle works with patients from newborn to 21 years and has a special clinical interest in withdrawal symptoms and management in patients exposed to long-term use of benzodiazepines and/or narcotics, early mobility in pediatric intensive care patients and care of medically complex children.

Practicing in a pediatric intensive care unit with some of the most critical patients in the hospital is very detail oriented with a tendency to focus on multiple diagnoses and evidence-based research management of these diagnoses. My daily goal is to remember empathy and that these patients and families just want the best care and quality of life we can provide for them.
