Biography:
Vikas Dhawan, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic hand surgeon for adult and pediatric patients. He completed medical school at Moscow Medical Institute School of Medicine and his fellowship at the University of Louisville.
He has a special clinical interest in treating patients with wrist and hand fractures, traumatic injuries, cysts and tumors of the upper extremities, nerve compressions and injuries, arthritis, Dupuytren’s contracture and birth defects. His research interests include nerve allografts, tissue engineering, and biomechanics of tendon repair.
Dr. Dhawan is an associate professor in the department of orthopedic surgery for Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
